The UdaTek QSFP-100G-ZR4 is a QSFP28 optical transceiver module, which is engineered for 100GBASE Ethernet applications, enabling data transmission at speeds up to 100 Gigabits per second over a distance of 80 kilometers on single-mode fiber (SMF). This is achieved through the use of a 1310nm wavelength and duplex LC connectors. The module adeptly handles the 100 Gigabit Ethernet signal across four distinct wavelengths, with internal mechanisms for wavelength multiplexing and demultiplexing.
The design of the transceiver incorporates a BOX+FPC+PCBA architecture, which enhances its reliability, ensures airtight sealing, and optimizes heat dissipation. It adheres to the IEEE 802.3ba standard, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of networking equipment. Additionally, it supports digital diagnostics through the I2C interface, in accordance with the QSFP28 MSA, providing real-time access to operational parameters.
This transceiver is user-friendly, featuring a hot-swappable design that simplifies installation and maintenance.
